To Whom It May Concern;

I am delighted to recommend the Living Theatre Workshop as a wonderful, illuminative, and significant opportunity for all students of performance. Jerry (loralnick and Lois Kagan Mingus worked with students and faculty for three days at Roger Williams University, culminating in a dynamic production of NO SIR!, followed by an enlightening panel discussion about the war in Iraq and military recruiting issues.

The workshop sessions included exercises pertinent to the production, discussions about the topics brought up by the content of NO SIR!, insights into the history and processes of The Living Theatre, and, of course, rehearsals for the performance. This mini acting class/rehearsal/forum was compelling and exhilarating; the students learned new ways to express themselves collaboratively as they experienced investing their socio-personal interests into a project. Jerry and Lois facilitated a growing sense of ownership of the production and an awareness of cooperation among the performers.

The panel discussion was moderated with care and skill. All points of view were respected and there was an overall sense of accomplishment and greater understanding as the event ended.

Both Jerry and Lois are talented artists, gifted educators, ultimately professional, and simply warm human beings. I look forward to them coming back to our campus and to working with them again. Please consider offering your students, your colleagues, and your community the fantastic opportunity of experiencing Lois, Jerry, and The Living Theatre.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
RW-Sig
